3rd Annual Putnam County Adult Visual Art Exhibition Guidelines

The Greencastle Arts Council and Putnam County Museum are delighted to announce the third annual Putnam County Adult Visual Art Exhibition on display July 9th – Sept 24th at the Putnam County Museum.  Come be a part of the celebration of our vibrant local talent. 

Eligibility Requirements

Open to artists 18 years and older.

Open to artists who have lived, worked, studied or were born in Putnam County.

All entries must be of original design and personal execution.

Artwork may be made with, but not limited to, traditional fine art media such as painting, drawing, fiber, mixed media, pastel, photography, ceramics, metal, etc.

 

Entry Specifications

Only work not previously exhibited at a GAC event may be submitted.

Artwork must be ready to display i.e. appropriately framed and ready to hang.

Artwork must be on display the entire duration of the exhibition.

Artwork may not be larger than seven feet in any direction.

Artists may submit up to 3 artworks.

 

Entry Fee

Non-refundable fee of $15 must be received on or before May 16th.

Payments may be made online at greencastleartscouncil.org or by mailing a check to Greencastle Arts Council PO Box 631 Greencastle IN 46135.

 

Awards

Entered artwork will be eligible for four different awards, totaling more than $1,000 in prizes.

 

Sales

Artworks sold will be subject to a 20% commission.

 

Delivery of Work and Pickup

Artwork must be hand delivered to the Museum at 1105 N Jackson St, Greencastle, IN 46135 between June 13th and 18th during regular business hours unless arrangements are made directly with the museum staff (765) 653-8419. Unsold work must be picked up between Sept 26th and 30th. Any artwork not picked up after 90 days after the close of the exhibition becomes property of the Museum.

 

Liability and Privacy

The Museum, upon possession of the artwork, will take all possible precautions to properly care for and display artwork. The museum shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to the artwork unless it can be directly attributed to intentional or negligent acts by the Museum and its employees or volunteers. By entering, the artist gives GAC and PCM permission to use submitted  images for promotion only on their social media platforms, website, and printed material.
