Eligibility Requirements
Open to artists 18 years and older. Open to artists who have lived, worked, studied or were born in Putnam County. All entries must be of original design and personal execution. Artwork can be made with, but not limited to, traditional fine art media such as painting, drawing, fiber, mixed media, pastel, photography, ceramics, metal, etc.
Entry Specifications
Only work not previously exhibited at one of our Adult Visual Art Exhibitions can be submitted. Artwork must be ready to display i.e. appropriately framed and ready to hang. Artwork must be on display the entire duration of the exhibition. Artwork can not be larger than 7’ in any direction. Artists can submit up to 3 artworks.
Application Details
A non refundable payment of $15 must be received on or before May 26. The application, including paying the entry fee, can be completed online following the button at the end of this page AND by emailing photographs of your artwork to info@greencastleartscouncil.org. Please note, it is a two step process. Paper applications are available at the county libraries and the Putnam County Museum. The paper application and check can be mailed to Greencastle Arts Council PO Box 631 Greencastle IN 46135. Even if you submit a paper application, photographs of your work must still be emailed to info@greencastleartscouncil.org. Please call 765-247-9176 if you need assistance.
Free Optional Photography Session
All participants are encouraged to take advantage of a free photography session of your artwork offered by a professional photographer on April 25, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.. To reserve a spot, call PCM, (765) 653-8419.
Sales
Sold artworks will be subject to a 20% commission.
Delivery of Work and Pickup
Artwork must be hand delivered to the Museum (1105 N Jackson St, Greencastle) the week of June 22 – 27 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. unless arrangements are made directly with the museum staff. At the conclusion of the show, unsold work must be picked up between Sept 21 and 25 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Any artwork not picked up after 90 days becomes property of the Museum.
Liability and Privacy
The Museum, upon possession of the artwork, will take all possible precautions to properly care for and display artwork. The museum shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to the artwork unless it can be directly attributed to intentional or negligent acts by the Museum and its employees or volunteers. By entering, the artist gives GAC and PCM museum permission to use submitted images for promotion only on their social media platforms, website, and printed material.

Tips fo the application process: The button will take you to our application/payment host site, Zeffy. Click on the grey “Add+” button, then click continue. After filling out the application questions, you will see a payment summary box. It will invite you to donate an additional amount to Zeffy. This is optional. Where it says “Help keep Zeffy free for Greencastle Arts Council Incorporated,” click on the drop down menu, select Other, then under “contribution”, fill in your desired amount ($0 is fine). We use Zeffy so the Arts Council can keep 100% of your application fee to host the exhibition.
